He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James W. Nalls, Sr. and Annette Magill Nalls; his wife Mary Ford Nalls; and his siblings, Patricia Nalls Dixon of Cary, NC, Janet Nalls Nazarian, Mary Lou Nalls Baden of Edgewater, MD, Charles H. Nalls of Amherst, VA and John Laurence Nalls. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Montgomery County Humane Society in Rockville, MD, to honor his memory.
