With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Henry Shaffer (Silver Spring, Maryland), born in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 11, 2020 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Shaffer and Helen Shaffer; his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Luther, Sara and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Schar (Ray), Jerry Diehl (Bill), Gary (Jamie), Bev Gardiner (Amos), Robin Pernia, Jim (Nina) and Kim Lamont (Rich); and his siblings, Richard (Helen) and Ruth. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
