He is survived by: his wife Angela Monahan Briefs; his son Matt Metzger; his stepchildren, Mike Ruiz (Anna) and Kristina Khalili (Porya); and his siblings, Cathie Schorn (John), Patsy Bartels (Chris), Steven, Peter, Ginny Georg (Denny), Margie, Chrissy, Rick (Jayne) and Michael. He is also survived by two granddaughters, and a grandson.
