She was predeceased by: her spouse Barnette Rhetta Holston, Sr.; and her child Byron Rhetta. She is survived by: her son Barnette Rhetta Jr.; her daughter-in-law Jessica; her grandchildren, Cadence Elizabeth (Fern) and Nathan Barnette; and also Troy Petenbrink.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Music Ministry or the Caregivers Ministry at The Peoples' Community Baptist Church.
