He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Galasso; his children, Cathy Galasso-Schwartz (Rick Schwartz), John Galasso (Linda Galasso) and George J. Galasso (Patty Jehle); his grandchildren, Gabrielle Gannon, George G. Galasso, Dr. Annemarie Galasso and Claire Galasso; his brother Vincent Galasso (Mary); his stepgrandchildren, Carly Schwartz and Keith Schwartz; his brother Anthony Galasso (Gloria); and his parent Italian. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Riderwood Scholarship Fund - instructions follow.
