George Allen Schimpf Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2022, at the age of 94, George Allen Schimpf Sr. (Silver Spring, Maryland), born in Demarest, New Jersey passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Allen Schimpf Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles G. Schimpf and Ethel M. Schimpf (Griffin); his former wife Grace Schimpf; his son David Schimpf; his granddaughter Karen Shollenberger; and his son-in-law Dean Hoke.
He is survived by: his wife Grace M. Ferrante; his children, Kathy Hoke of Hancock County, ME, Mary Nangle (Richard) of Hancock County, ME, George Schimpf, Jr. of Hancock County, ME, Stephanie Dillman (Brian) of Bethlehem, PA and Christina Shollenberger (Steve) of West Friendship, MD; and his daughter-in-law Brenda Block Schimpf of Sciota, PA.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the Salvation Army, in memory of George's many years of "ringing the bell.".
