It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Shimek (Silver Spring, Maryland), born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on May 26, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, August Kirschke and Margaret Kirschke. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jesse, Veronica, Dylan Tracy, Courtney and Jake; and her great grandchildren, Marilyn, Grace, Alice, Kayleigh, Wren, Robin and Ellie.

She was impressed by the charity work of the St Vincent de Paul Society of DC and wanted to participate.
