He is survived by: his parents, Sherwood Harvey and Anna Fae Herring; his wife Ruby Herring; his daughters, Lydia Herring-Harrington (Matthew), Emily Herring, Amanda D'Alessandro (Frank) and Molly Herring; his grandson Mason D'Alessandro; and his siblings, Linda Herring and Cathleen Otto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
