He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Kozar and Mary Kozar of Bovey, MN. He is survived by: his wife Esther "Donna" Kozar; and his brother John Louis Kozar of Excelsior, MN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, several godchildren, and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, MN or Montgomery Hospice Casey House.
