He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J Byrne and Isabelle Culhane Byrne; and his stepfather Herbert Bloomer. He is survived by: his wife Ann Byrne (Harrington); his children, Deidre (Arturo Poveda) and David (Karen Trimmer); and his grandchildren, Julia, Lillian, Bridget and Ann-Marie. He is also survived by cousins, and many second cousins.
