We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Dolores J. Hammer of Silver Spring, Maryland. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James S. Hammer; her son James S. Jr.; and her brother Carl Andrus. She is survived by: her children, Carol A. Williams, Stephen J., Valerie Kay and Marjorie Alice Hammer; her aunt Bonnie L. Hebner; her nephew Thomas Andrus; and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Thomas, Alexander and Julia. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church.

“Dolly was the best neighbor, for 50+ years! She was always willing to help, very caring for others. When our parents were struggling with health, she would walk down to see them every day, & they always were entertained & cheered up by her. Dolly was interested in so many things and open to new experiences. She would tell me that she prayed for our family daily. I was so sad to hear of Dolly's passing. I'm praying the service brought peace & healing to the family. Jill (Miller) Saufferer”
