We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Dennis Thrower in Silver Spring, Maryland. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Dennis Thrower to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Thrower and Alice Thrower; and his siblings, Nancy Wheeler, Polly Jankowski and William Thrower.

He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, David Thrower (Shannon) and Kimberly Christensen (Derek); his granddaughter Kendall Miller; and his sister Mary Jo Forsythe. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to ask that those attending the memorial visitation and funeral service please wear a mask in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Dennis' honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization dedicated to finding cures and saving children, a devotion for his granddaughter Kendall Miller.

“Dennis Thrower was like the Rock of Gibraltar---as solid, as earnest, as forthright a person as you would ever want as a friend. I knew Dennis from the opening of the Capital Centre in 1973. As his earliest boss, I could count on Dennis to always do what had to be done and to do it the right way. He was friendly, with a great sense of humor. I admired Dennis for his accountability. A serious guy who always enjoyed his work and play. RIP. You will be missed by many.”
