He is survived by: his wife Claudia W. McLeod; his son David G. McLeod, Jr.; and his stepdaughter Ayvette Sailer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Prostate Disease Research c/o The Henry M. Jackson Foundation in his honor.
