He was predeceased by: his sister Essie Blaylock (George); his nephews, George Blaylock Jr. and David Blalock; and his parents, David G. Jeter, Sr. and Vera Johnson Jeter.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie B. Jeter; his children, Nellie J. Thompson (Brian) and David G. Jeter III; his grandchildren, Morgane N. Thompson, Ariana E. Thompson, Bryce A. Thompson and Mason S. Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Albert Bradford, Laura Bradford (Paul Bohne) and Deborah Forsblom (Robert); his niece Elizabeth Gibson (Chad); and his nephews, Bradford Forsblom and Brock Forsblom.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (818 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901). He became ill with pneumonia and Covid in 2022.
