We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2019, at the age of 84, Charles Brown (Silver Spring, Maryland), born in Royston, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Brown and Ruby Fordson Brown; his brother-in-law Rev. Leonard Massie, Jr.; his wife Mary Winstead; his children, Lauren Brown and Lance Brown (Sheila); his grandchildren, William "Chip" Vaughn IV, Evan Vaughn, Leah Brown and Maya Brown; his mother-in-law Barbara Winstead-Mills (Leon); and his siblings-in-law, Wheeler Winstead, Jr., Elfreda Massie (Leonard) and Deborah Higdon (Thomas). He was also cherished by his wife, children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Estelle Martin Cartledge Memorial Fund, managed by the Poise Foundation in Pittsburgh, PA.
