With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy A. Mitchell (Silver Spring, Maryland), who passed away on December 21, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Emily Carter Mitchell; his children, Jennifer Mitchell Wuornos, Dolly Douglas and Will Mitchell, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Eavan, Caroline, Hank and Ethan.

In lieu of flowers to honor Billy's seafaring ways, contributions will be accepted for the Annapolis Maritime Museum at http://www.amaritime.org, address 7723 Second Street, Annapolis, MD 21403 for their flood damage restoration project.
