Carlton (Silver Spring, Maryland), born in Mount Olive, North Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosea Rowe and Barbara Leach Rowe; and her husband Benjamin F. Carlton. She is survived by: her daughters, Cassandra Rush-Fairley and Cherie R. Cone-Smith; her grandchildren, Devan C. Kearney, Nile B. Cone-John (Joel), Conrad D. Smith, Jr. and Marcus P. Smith; her great grandchildren, Kai C. Kearney and Cameron A. John; and her close friend Frank Doucette. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
