She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Frank M. McGowan; her children, Patricia M. Chlan (Bill), Mark McGowan (Missy) and Tracy McGowan (Kevin Kapfer); and her grandchildren, Drew, Nicholas, Brendan and Colin. She was also cherished by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.

“My aunt Alice has always been a loving and caring woman towards her family. Her family was always in the forefront of her mind, she always reached out to ask how we are. Every birthday of mine she would send a card and a little gift, never missing one year. I will forever miss her cards and her love for us, and she will forever be a wonderful aunt of mine.
