He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Donlin; his parents, John Donlin and Patricia Donlin; and his brother Bobby Donlin. He is survived by: his children, Patrick Donlin (Alescia) of Edgewater and James Francis Donlin, Jr. of Annapolis; his siblings, Brian Donlin of Baltimore, Brenda Nuse of Lusby, MD, Christine Mansfield of Nottingham, MD and Patricia Callender of Kingston, WA; and his grandchildren, Alexis Donlin and Mia Donlin.
