It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clara Belle Townsend of Sharptown, Maryland, born in Delmar, Delaware, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eba F. Fletcher and Margaret M. Bennett Fletcher; her husband William Townsend; and her siblings, Thomas Fletcher, Jane Lowe and Elaine Webster.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan Keith Townsend (Leah) of Chester, MD and Bruce James Townsend (Beverly) of Richmond, VA; her grandsons, Kevin Townsend, Michael Townsend (Emily) of White Marsh and Brandon Townsend; and her sister Shirley Bennett of Sharptown. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews & cousins.
