It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Bantly Gay Sr. of Sharpsburg, Maryland, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Leroy "Scat"; his wife Marlene Janet Gay; his sister Raetta Gay; and his close friend Donald "Goose" Ingram. He is survived by: his sons, William Gay, Jr. (Ashley) and Andrew Gay; and his siblings, Sonny Gay, Eugene Gay, Frances Hutchinson, Lloyd Gay, Jerry Gay and Shannon Gay. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Packle's name to The Potomac Valley Volunteer Fire Company.
