He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Bowers, Sr. and Rayetta Marie Bowers (Griffith); his wife Sharon Lee Bowers; and his brothers, Errol "Butch" Griffith and Rickie Bowers.
He is survived by: his son Robert F. Bowers III; and his sisters, Darlene Eichelberger, Ava Gift (Frank) and Ginny Wagner (Donald). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
