She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ivan and Pearl Elizabeth Sigler (Durbin); her husband Robert Henry "Joe" Smith; and her son-in-law Donald Ewing, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Pauline V. Ewing of Williamsport, MD and Patricia A. Sease of Greencastle, PA; and her grandchildren, James Ewing, Sr. (Crystal) of Kemps Mills, MD, Tammy Bream of Greencastle, PA, Michael Sease, II of Greencastle, PA, Robert Ewing (Teresa) of Brunswick, MD and Christopher Ewing (Brandy) of Williamsport, MD. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park (17636 W Washington St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
