He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Virginia Yeager Churchey; his children, Donald A. Helman and Joan L. Grimm; and his siblings, Ethel Semler, Hazel Canfield, Louise Darner, Dorothy Byrd, Margaret Hazelton, Phyllis Gray, Charles Churchey, Clifford Churchey, Lee Churchey and Frederick Churchey.
He is survived by: his children, Audrey L. Blevins (Rick) of Sharpsburg, MD and Joseph E. Churchey, Jr.; his wife Terry of Sharpsburg, MD; his sister Alta Mae Crampton of Sharpsburg, MD; his grandchildren, Donald D. Churchey, Sr., Ronald S. Churchey, Amy L. Blevins-Selby, Heather A. Morningstar and Marta Swisher; and his great grandchildren, Donnie, Luke, Alisha, Megan, Anna, Matthew, Rachel, Raven, Mercedes and Wayne.
