He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston A. Sanders and Mildred C. Sanders (Sprecher); and his brothers, Charles, Richard, Donald, Larry and James Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" A. Sanders (Vermaes); and his sons, Jeffrey Sanders (Meredith) of Crownsville and Michael Sanders of Hagerstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gordon's name to the Grace United Methodist Church, 712 W. Church St., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to a charity of ones choice.
