He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. and Mary L. Rutan; his brother Bob Rutan; and his brother-in-law Mike Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Frances M. Prout Rutan; his children, Cathy Swanson, Liam Rutan (Jory), Jim Prout (Tammy) and John Prout (Diane); his granddaughters, Sady Swanson, Faith Jackson and Savannah Prout; and his great grandchildren, Violet and Willow Jackson.
