She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Jones and Marie Jones of Silver Spring, MD.. She is survived by: her husband John Martin Ryan; her brother Larson Henry Jones; her children, Helen Marie Chamberlin, Catherine Rose Rubio, Charles Moulton Chamberlin IV and Margaret Irene Chamberlin-Edelen; her stepson John Matthew Ryan; her grandchildren, Frank Rubio Jr., Kate Dimsdale, Maya Bonello, Erin Chamberlin, Cayla Chamberlin, Christian Chamberlin, Alyssa Krueger, Nathan Krueger and Lilly Edelen; her children-in-law, Christopher Jordan, Frank Rubio, Tim Edelen and Marlene Chamberlin; and her great grandchildren, Aviana, Iris and Olivia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to either the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Maryland or Hospice of the Chesapeake in celebration of Gerda's 78th Birthday on August 13, 2020.
