It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Manning Cook of Severn, Maryland, born in Hilo, Hawaii, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emelia Manning, Sr. (Wright) and Gabriel Manning, Sr.; and her husband Edmund Thomas Cook. She is survived by: her children, Leilani B. Hannie of Glen Burnie and Craig E. Cook (Brenda) of Severn; and her grandchildren, Bryant Hannie (Alisha), Ryan Hannie (Erin), T. J. Swiney, Justin Hannie, Ashleigh Cook (Chris), Stacey Griffin, Craig Cook, Jr. and Chad Swiney. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
