It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carnell H. Windley-Ginn of Severn, Maryland, who passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Luther James Windley, Sr.; and her brother Luther James Windley, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Mabel R. Windley of Georgetown, SC; her siblings, Mabelene Young of Raleigh, NC, Shirley Crutchfield (Fort Washington, MD), Lessie Landry (Upper Marlboro, MD), Jacqueline Reed (Theron) of McDonough, GA, Susan Baptist (Bowie, MD), Deborah Alston (Bobby) of Anchorage, AK, Beverly Windley of Conyers, GA, Sharon Windley of Georgetown, SC, Billy Windley (Vanessa) of McDonough, GA, Sherald Windley (Cynthia) of Rembert, SC, Aaron Windley (Rhonda) of Ellenwood, GA, Ronald Windley (Sheldonia) of Stockbridge, GA, Many, Sandra J. Sanford (Mitchellville, MD), Nne Nwosu (Glen Dale, MD), Rose Marie Geathers of Lake City, SC, Cindy Capers of Charleston, SC, Francis Neal of Philadelphia, PA, Cheryl White (Salisbury, MD) and Jimmy Terrell Bromell of Georgetown, SC; her son Temitope Owoeye (Baltimore, MD); her nieces and nephews, Malika Doran (Clinton, MD), Joy Hogue (Hanover, MD), Tina Spriggs-Enis (Upper Marlboro, MD) and Sandra Otis (Severn, MD); and her friend Todd Snyder (Severn, MD). She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great niece.
Since the pandemic, she faithfully joined virtual services with her childhood church, St. Paul A. M. E. under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Rubin Smalls.
