It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy M. Hughes of Secretary, Maryland, born in Easton, Maryland, who passed away on September 17, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McGlaughlin and Dorothy Simmons Belanga; and her sister Bonnie Sue Andrews. She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Jody" Hughes, Sr. of Secretary; her children, Dawn Stanley (David) of Cambridge, Joseph "Jody" Hughes, Jr. (Jerri Lynn) of Vienna and Christina Shores (Timothy) of Secretary; her grandchildren, Austin Elzey, Toby Hughes, Lee Shores, Caleb Shores, JB Hughes and James Hughes; and her nephew Ray Andrews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Secretary Volunteer Fire Company (115 Myrtle St, Secretary, MD 21664).
