He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard L. Dukes, Sr. and Daisy Hurst Dukes Wheatley; his wife Margaret Marine; his son Harold Dukes; his sister Evelyn Willey; his great grandchild Zoe Dukes; and his daughter-in-law Dena Dukes.
He is survived by: his stepfather Roland Wheatley; and his sons, Howard R. "Ronnie" Dukes (Linda), Larry Dukes (Jane) of Hurlock, Walter Dukes (Susan) of Secretary, Norman Dukes (Susan) of Seaford and Melvin Dukes of Secretary. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
