She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Austin Ridgell and Cecilia Plowden King; her husband Nelson Edward Dean; her children, Patsy Nickless and Edward Dean; her granddaughter Karen Byrne; and her siblings, Leslie Ridgell, George Ridgell, Grace Pratt, Austin Ridgell, Susanna Wolf, Thomas Gregory Ridgell and Cecilia Titus.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Justice (Everett) of Hudson, NC, Mary Lou Simpkins of Ridge, MD, James "Sonny" Dean (Gail) of Scotland, MD, Shirley Epperson of St. Inigoes, MD, Hazel Neil (Larry) of Chiefland, FL, Leonard Dean (Linda) of Scotland, MD, Winifred "Winnie" Beerman of Ridge, MD, Arthur Dean (Cyndi) of Murfreesboro, TN, Crystal Cabellon (Alberto) of Renton, WA, Carol Kelley (Craig) of Ridge, MD and George Dean (Steve) of Harper's Ferry, WV; her daughter-in-law Ramona Dean of Hollywood, MD; her sisters, Clara Norris of Leonardtown, MD and Eleanor Tippett (Francis) of Leonardtown, MD; her grandsons, David Nickless, Robert Dean, Jason Dean, Andrew Dean and John English; her great grandchild Josh Slade; and her grandsons, Keith Nickless, James Nickless, Charles Nickless, Darryl Nickless, Michael Dean, Christopher Dean, Steven Cabellon, Kevin Teague, Wesley Teague and Randy Neil. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
