He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Wheatley and Martha Wheatley (Horner); his son William G. Wheatley, Jr. (Billy); and his brother Robert Wheatley. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Lee Wheatley Elliott (Keith) of Salisbury, MD and Lisa M. Wheatley of Salisbury, MD; his grandchildren, Kristyn Zoccone, Dean McNelia, Joel McNelia, Katie Collingsworth, Kevin Collingsworth, Jr., Cory McNelia and Hannah Elliott; his siblings, Anita Shores of Salisbury, MD, Elwood Wheatley of Salisbury, MD, Gorman Wheatley of Kansas and Agnes Arnold of Kansas; and his close friends, Bobby Waller, Bobby Shores and Tommy Northam. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
