She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence VanMeter and Janey Mace VanMeter; and her siblings, Jack, Robert, Ronnie, Junior, Doris, Helen and Gladys.
She is survived by: her sister Linda Johnson (Linda Callaway); her nieces, Wendy Catlin-Hamblin (Ed) and Janet Fox (Andy); and her close friend Nikki Hayhurst. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Short Funeral Home (13 E Grove St, Delmar, DE 19940). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Wicomico Nursing Home, Activities Department, 900 Booth Street, Salisbury, MD 21801, to support the continued care of residents.
