He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKenney and Bessie Frith McKenney; his son Robert Michael McKenney; and his siblings, John "Jack", William, James McKenney and Bessie Burnham.
He is survived by: his wife Alice "Jean" Eugenia McKenney; his children, Linda Heubeck (Gary) of Baltimore, Jo-Ann Lewis (Darryl) of Nanticoke, William "Billy" McKenney (Teri) of Newark, MD, Juliane McKenney of Tyaskin and Diane McKenney of Salisbury; and his grandchildren, Mike (Christy), Evan, Allison (Mike), Bryan (Amber), Haley (Andrei), Graca, Dylan, Timmy and Kelly. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
