With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert C. Ruark of Salisbury, Maryland, born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on November 17, 2022. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert C. Ruark to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ruark and Pauline Ruark; and his brother Michael J. Ruark. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Nelson Ruark; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Timothy Hurst; his son Jeffrey; his daughter-in-law Katherine Ruark; his grandchildren, Madelyn, Landon, Nolan Hurst, Sadie and Cameron Ruark; and his siblings, Laura Fiscus (Jerry Fiscus) of Grafton, Raymond Ruark and Maurice Ruark of Princess Anne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Valerie and family, this is Mark Dryden. Am so heartbroken to hear about Robert. You may remember that Robert and I were quite the pals during high school. I have nothing but warm memories and a lot of laughter and goofiness. We played ball, we drove around, and we had no idea what the future would bring. Princess Anne was very idyllic for boyhood at that time. I send you as much love and healing as possible only hoping that it can replace some of the grief. Much love to you and family.”
