He was predeceased by: his brother James Alfred Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Lena Bowen; his sons, Mark Bowen (Holly) of Salisbury, MD and Richard W. Bowen Jr. (Leslie) of Reston, VA; his granddaughters, Kristina Morton (Andrew), Lauren Hindman (Ben) and Natalie Crouse; and his great grandchildren, Marley Hindman, Rowen Hindman and Sunny Crouse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
