She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulysses "Buddy" Cottman and Roxie Trader Cottman; her husband Ronald L. Bratten, Sr.; her son Kevin L. Bratten, Sr.; and her brothers, Maxwell Cottman and Ronald Cottman.
She is survived by: her children, Renee Pedro (Kehinde) and Ronald L. Bratten, Jr.; her siblings, Brenda Cottman, Edward Cottman (Charlotte), Eugene Cottman (Barbara) and Donald Cottman (Patricia); and her aunt Beulah Trader. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
