He was predeceased by: his parent Fred Emil Benson. He is survived by: his parent Virginia Elizabeth Selby Benson; his wife Patsy Ann Benson; his sons, Robert N. Benson of Seaford, DE and Michael E. Benson (Kristin) of Yorktown, VA; his grandchildren, Ryan and Sean; and his siblings, David Benson (Betty) of Eden, MD and Dolores Crismond of Princess Anne.
