He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Custis Cartwright and Rennie T. Howard Cartwright; and his siblings, Howard Lee Cartwright, Lawrence Edward Cartwright and Mary Belle Wimbrow.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Peggy" Louise Simpson; his children, Marilyn Louise Hamilton (Robert) of Millsboro, DE, Norris E Cartwright, Jr. (Vickie) of Seaford, DE and Carroll; and his grandchildren, Carroll Dean Cartwright of Baltimore and Casey John Carter (Hether) of Chula Vista, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
