She is survived by: her children, Marilyn M. Messick (Tom), Tina Lynne Dykes (Bryan), Olin J. Tarr, Jr. (Peggy) and Merrill T. Tarr (Diann); and her sister Joyce Ann Thomas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces nephews and extended family.
