It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Ray Bernstein (Salisbury, Maryland), born in Chincoteague, Virginia, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Bernstein and Mary Bernstein; his brothers, Barry and David; and his sister-in-law Alice.

He is survived by: his brothers, Chincoteague Chapter No, Royal Arch Masons (Companion) and Boumi Temple (Shriner); his wife Terry; his sons, Justin and Jarred (Laura); his grandchildren, Lucas, Addison, Jonah and Elijah; his siblings, Daniel (Peggy), Joseph, Richard (Ellen), Faith and Nicholas (Judy); and his sister-in-law Linda. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's memory to Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company, PO BOX 691 Chincoteague Island, VA 23336.

I am a classmate & friend of Michael’s all the way down here in Miami Lakes, Florida we have kept in touch I would send him cards and occasionally he would send me a card or a funny saying the last which I think is from last year Fourth of July of 2022 - a picture of him with a shirt on which is a funny saying regarding the Fourth of July. I’m sorry I didn’t get to Chincoteague to see him one last time. Linda R Usher”
