She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kerin and Myra Kerin; her husband Gilbert Thornton; and her granddaughter Ellen Young. She is survived by: her children, John Thornton (Colleen), Mary Virginia Young, Gilbert Thornton Jr. (Joe) and Kathleen Paulin (Ed); her grandchildren, Stephen Young, Kerin Olson (John), Maureen Beery and John O. Thornton; and her great grandchildren, Clarisse Young, Jack Olson, William Olson, Jacob Beery and Reid Beery.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holloway Funeral Home (501 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury, MD 21804).
