Mary Gladys Jones Obituary

We bid farewell to Mary Gladys Jones of Salisbury, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 3, 2025 at the age of 105. Mary Gladys touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Edward Jones and Martha Showell Jones; her husband Hooper R. Jones; and her siblings, Paulyne Robbins, Millard Jones and Trooper Meredith Jones.

She is survived by: her niece Patricia White (Kenneth); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kenneth II, Kevin and Kachelle; her nieces, Shelia G. Barckley (Johnny), Cassandra Brown (Randolph), Jennifer Harmon, Sandra Edmonds and Beverly Farmer; her nephew William Robbins (Lucia); her goddaughter Amber Justice; her cousins, Leola Smack and Martha Briddell; and her caregivers, Rita White, Jordan Justice and Angela Davis.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (4411 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20011). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Community Church (205 N Division St, Fruitland, MD 21826). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Community Church Cemetery (205 N Division St, Fruitland, MD 21826).
