She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Victor August Soderlund and Emma Ogren Soderlund; her brothers, Carl and Edward; and her children, Dr. Edward T. Shaffer (Salisbury MD), Dr. Daniel L. Shaffer, Dr. David N. Shaffer and Janice S. Wright (Rockville MD). She was also cherished by six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
