He is survived by: his wife June Mariast; his children, Nancy (Jeff) of Bethesda, MD, Louis James Mariast Jr. (Charlotte) of Columbia, MD and June Palo Capispisan (Sheila Marie); his granddaughter Sister Ilene Steiner of Smithfield, NC; his nephews, Ed, James and George of Smithfield, NC; and his close friend Buck.
