She was predeceased by: her parents, Gervacio Varelo Rosario and Alicia Arroyo; and her husband Marcos Calderon Grajales. She is survived by: her children, Nitza Evett Calderon Varelo and Marcos Antonio Calderon; and her siblings, Alicia Valero Arroyo, Elba Iris Varelo Arroyo and Gervacio Varelo (Gail Clark Varelo). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
