She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Harvey Hastings and Laura Frances Nickerson Hastings; and her brother Robert Franklin Hastings. She is survived by: her husband Robert Walter McGrath of Salisbury; her daughter Jenny Lynn Scalese (Joseph) of Boonsboro, MD; and her grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Scalese. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
