She was predeceased by: her parent Lester Adkins; and her brother William "Billy" Adkins. She is survived by: her parent Velma Pearl Adkins; her husband Richard Joseph Sr.; her children, Richard Joseph Jr., Brenda Joseph and Lori Truitt; and her sister Mabel West.
