She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Teagle and Anne King; and her siblings, Lucille Winder, Thelma Payton and Ronnie King.
She is survived by: her spouse Hakim Akram; and her children, Dynetta (Frank), Akbar, Hakim Jr., Rasheedah (Garvin), Saeed, Omar, Najmah (Tim), Muhammad and Bilal (April). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bennie Smith Life Celebration Center (901 W Isabella St, Salisbury, MD 21801).
